Would You Want to Keep Reading This?So, here is a preview of a book I’m working on at the moment. It doesn’t have a name, but tell me, would you keep reading it or not?
I wandered aimlessly through the empty streets as I did every day. My head hung eyes closed against the rain. I was daydreaming, slowly drifting off into sleep unintentionally. In the corner of my mouth was a cigarette that had gone out hours ago.
Suddenly, I jerked my head up hearing footsteps behind me. No one came outside anymore, so I didn’t know who it would be besides guards.
I spun around as my mind flashed through thoughts and my adrenaline kicked in.
As I had expected, a guard was running towards me. I kind of had a “reputation” with the government so therefore I was a wanted subject.
Thinking quickly, I dashed behind as corner, no intention of hiding.

the heat of the city melts us.
We run into each other, rhapsody
of pigments. Operas are our specialties.
Open up; feel the reds.
If not, try and see them. There is a place
of deep knife marks, a street
long as midnight
you may learn something there.
Valentina's voice glimmers like red wine.
You may enjoy intoxications. Still,
know alcohol has no story
and will swallow your own.
Find the sign with the wolf on it.
You'll know the place. Epiphanies ring true as church-bells.
